De Band<\/h2>

Black Limousine is een Rolling Stones coverband uit Nieuwegein en omstreken. Na een jaar repeteren in diverse oefenstudio\u2019s in het Utrechtse hebben ze nu een verrassende set van heel bekende en onbekende Stonesnummers. Natuurlijk mag Honky Tonk Woman of Jumpin\u2019Jack Flash niet ontbreken op de setlist, maar daarnaast zijn Brand new car en The spyder and the fly heerlijk relaxte rocknummers die de Stones zelf maar zelden live spelen. Het publiek krijgt nog een beetje rust met You can\u2019t always get what you want, maar over het algemeen worden de wat snellere energieke Stoneshits gespeeld, waaronder Route 66 en Respectable, Starfucker. Aan Black Limousine van het album Tattoo You uit het begin van de jaren 80 ontleende de band zijn naam.

De band werd opgericht door stonesfan Michiel Wijnbergh. Hij leerde gitaar spelen door mee te spelen met platen van de Stones.
Voor zanger Nico van den Heuvel is een only Stonesband hem op het lijf geschreven. Nico wil eigenlijk alleen maar Stones zingen en speelde al eerder in een band met Michiel.
Gitarist Nico van Walderveen stemt zijn gitaren op dezelfde manier als de Stones en zorgt daarmee voor authentiek geluid. Voor Paint it Black kocht hij onlangs nog een electrische sitar, waarmee dit nummer zeer herkenbaar wordt.
Bassist Peter Mestrum zorgt voor de grooves, drummer Ardy Stoker zit achter de potten en pannen. Samen houden zij de boel ritmisch op de rails.\n

Een enkele keer nemen we nog een extra muzikant mee, zoals een percusionist of toetsenist, blazer etc.
